Jules Animation Test

The story

I was taking a Schoolism course on facial expressions. Just the face, no body. But as I explored the character I got excited and decided to do something more with him.

He was kind of a caveman, with an expression I really liked. Instead of leaving it as a drawing, I decided to animate him.

I made a walk cycle in Jules. I pulled a lot of gorilla references to get that heavy, brutish walk that fit him, and tweaked things to give him more character.

It's a fully personal project. It started as a class exercise and ended up here.

See how he walks..

This exproessions tests is what inspired me to animate the walk cycle.
